TestimonialsMy mother was born in Denmark. Her parents brought her to the United States when she was an infant circa 1909. I was born in 1937. When I was a child growing up my grandparents and my mother only spoke Danish when they didn't want me to hear what they were talking about. Other times, they always spoke English, and very well as far back as I can remember. The point is, learning English was expected back then. It should be still. |
