Testimonials

Years ago, when I was a patrolman with the New Jersey Marine Police, we enforced fish and game laws, including shellfish regulations. FYI, clams, mussels, and oysters taken from polluted water can contain viruses like hepatitis and poliomyelitis that may not be killed when cooked, and easily transmitted to humans if the shellfish are eaten raw.

We get boatloads of immigrants from North Jersey and New York who would come down the Shore for the day and would often be caught clamming. Often times, they could barely understand enough English to avoid having to bring a translator in and make a major deal out of what was a simple summons.

English should be our Official National Language. All official documents, licenses, tests, examinations, etc should be in English. If you're here, learn it!

Please use the example I have given to add strength to our efforts to make English our official national language. English is the most commonly spoken language on earth; more people speak it as a first or second language than any other. It is the language of Liberty, Freedom, Justice and Commerce; those things that underpin human civilization. If any tongue were devised to unite humanity, it's English!
